From Day to Night to Day again - By Hayley Spick

Did you know that the sun never moves but the earth does?

It takes 24 hours before it rotates back to the same place.  The earth has something through the middle of it thats called an axis. The axis' job is to help the earth spin around the sun.

How does it become Day to Night?
The axis spins the earth so while we're playing, on the other side of the world people are sleeping. 


At sunrise to sunset
Earlier in this explanation I said the sun never moves but what happens at sunrise and sunset?  Well, the sun never moves but actually we do!  At sunrise we are half facing the sun and half not.  So at 4 O'Clock it is half night and half day.  At sunset it is day coming into night.  

So that's how it become day to night to day again!
